Welcome to Sanddrif Guest Farm near Stellenbosch in the stunning Cape Winelands.  Sanddrif Guest Farm is a paradise of tranquility, boasting with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards. It is named after the small Sanddrif river which runs through the 3,4ha sized property. 

Privately run and owned by Charlotte and Ben ter Huurne, the farm offers unmatched hospitality and charming country atmosphere, making it a luxury ‘home away from home’ for guests visiting the winelands.

The farm is located 30min from Cape Town International Airport and a mere 10 min from Stellenbosch, with easy access to the N1 and N2.

This charming 4 star Guest Farm offers 3 bed and breakfast units and 3 self catering units each sleeping 2 guests in either a King size or Twin beds.  Guests are assured of an intimate and relaxing stay in the picturesque heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands.

Rose Garden Room

Our light and airy Rose Garden Room is a loft apartment situated adjacent to the main house..  A small open plan living area is shared with the bedroom which has a king size bed, a dressing table and chair, built-in cupboard, a tea/coffee station and a small open plan sitting area.”  We make use of modern solar panels in all our rooms to ensure that our guests don’t have to worry about Loadshedding.

The elevated wooden deck outside has comfortable couches, a table and a patio umbrella. It overlooks a private rose garden (the playground of our Sunbirds) with comfortable loungers in order for you to relax in seclusion.

Oleander Garden Room

The cozy Oleander Garden Room, a loft apartment next to the main house, is accessed via a private path through a shaded garden.. Inside, French patio doors open to an open-plan space with twin/king beds, a comfy sofa, a small open plan sitting area and a bathroom with a shower, twin basins, and toilet. Enjoy the sunny terrace with outdoor seating and vineyard views. Privacy and tranquility define this elevated retreat.

The Oleander room offers a special treat to our guests with the installation of our quality outdoor hot tub. Enjoy, kick back, relax and make memories as you experience sheer bathing luxury in discreet privacy under The African sky.

Self Catering Units at Sanddrif Guest Farm

Pool Cottage

Pool Cottage is a cosy, one-bedroom rustic log cabin, a mere 25 metre walk from the main house it is completely secluded from the rest of the farm. It is tastefully and comfortably decorated with an open-plan living area, fully equipped kitchen and king size bed. The bathroom has a shower, his and hers basins and a separate toilet.

Outside, Pool Cottage has a covered veranda along the front with table and chairs, as well as loungers and exclusive private use of its generously sized swimming pool. 

River Suite Strelitzia

River Suite Strelitzia is our second self-catering cottage, adjoining River Suite Agapanthus. This cottage offers sweeping views of the vineyards, Stellenbosch mountains  and a small island brimming with local birdlife. 

The bedroom boasts ample light, a king size bed and countryside vistas. The spacious bathroom includes a bath, shower and twin basins with a separate toilet nearby.

The open-plan design features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and comfortable living space leading out through glass sliding doors to a covered balcony with outdoor couches, table and chairs and sun loungers. This unit invites relaxation amid a picturesque farmland.

River Suite Agapanthus

River Suite Agapanthus has large windows making it sunny and light and offering beautiful views in all directions. 

Breakfast

The guests can experience this unique and peaceful setting while enjoying a generous breakfast, served either in the lovely garden or in the kitchen of the main house. The combination of healthy, continental and English breakfast makes a perfect start for your day. Self catering guests are welcome join us for our fabulous breakfasts at an extra charge.

Activities

Activities on Sanddrif include bird life, tennis, a huge swimming pool, mountain bike trail, walking trails and several golf courses can be reached by car in 10 – 30 minutes.
