General Information

Stellenbosch is situated in the Cape Winelands region of the Western Cape.  The town is the second oldest town in South Africa - founded by Simon van der Stel in 1679 and renowned for its Cape Dutch buildings, university, rugby and wines.  Stellenbosch lies in a fertile valley surrounded by vineyards, orchards and mountains.  It is an academic and farming community and is one of the best preserved towns in South Africa.  A fantastic vibey town where the best thing to do is park up and tour the town on foot.  Historical buildings line the street, restaurants galore and quaint shops to delight - the town is a must visit for any holiday.
